Properly, this was a good week for folks calling out the difficulties of burning fossil fuels, especially oil!
As I shared above on Planetsave right now, Brad Pitt went out of his way in a Every day Present interview with Jon Stewart this week to comment on the insanity of burning fossil fuels to energy our vehicles.
If you’re interested in the second part of that interview, on Brad Pitt’s Make it Right organization, check out the Planetsave post.
But, before you go(!), right here’s yet another must-see (or,.. hear) video audio of Saudi Arabia’s oil minister telling us: “Greenhouse gasoline emissions and worldwide warming are amongst humanity’s most pressing issues. Societal expectations on climate alter are genuine, and our industry is expected to take a leadership part.”
WOW, who would have guessed that? More sincere than Fox ‘News’, the big vast majority of nationwide Republican politicians today, and the Wall Street Journal (when it’s not allowing climate researchers to proper its mind-boggling op-eds from non-climate-scientists on global warming and whether or not we must be addressing it).
The fact of the matter is, of course, the damaging results of world-wide warming are large, humans are extremely clearly triggering international warming, and the best things we can do to reduce our worldwide warming emissions are reduce consumption of goods from a significantly less-than-green livestock industry, use clean power this kind of as wind and solar for our electrical power and our vehicles, bike and use mass transit a lot a lot more, and push for sturdy alter politically.
Great to see these guys pushing for element of that… in their own special methods.
